I have found that I get always good results with affiliate product promotion when I write about the product I am promoting and include text links.

If you will write a “special report” or a blog post as a review or teaching exercise, then it will help you generate visitors to your affiliate product site.

It is important for you to point out what you didn’t like in the product and how you think it could be improved - people willbe more likely to think it’s an honest review then.

Focus on educating your readers about web site promotion rather than selling anything, and you will find that will help conversions to a product in your niche that you do recommend.

Here are some basic steps to prevent being distracted by shiny things online

Write down, and stick to a daily plan of activities that make or contribute to making money online directly, or indirectly.

- Do not check emails until after you have completed your daily activities list
- Do not answer the phone while you are working on income producing tasks
- Do not multi-task like chatting on skype or some other message system
- Do not spend 3 hours writing that ad package that you only planned to take 1 hour to do
