Like most internet marketers, network marketers and online business owners you are always searching to find responsive sources of targeted lead generation and increased web site traffic, at least that’s what I am constantly being asked about.

You have heard it all before, all the things you must do:

  • Target your market
  • Increase web site traffic
  • Entice responses to your opt in forms
  • Collect your leads contact information
  • Improve conversion rates
  • Build your lists
  • Monetize your lists

Your question is still - How do you do that effectively?

Start by learning how to deploy an article writing strategy to target your lead generation efforts by:

Researching the categories in popular article directories, and select topics that are relevant to your target market for your article writing campaign

Researching keyword phrases related to those topics, for example, if you Google”targeted lead generation” or “lead generation you will find the competition is 11, 300 for the former compared to 1,900,000 for the latter, hence you would use the phrase “targeted lead generation” to attract visitors interested in that segment of the broader lead generation market.

Targeting your keyword phrases in your article writing, to improve your conversion rate of article readers to visit the “targeted lead generation” anchor text in the link of your articles “bio” or “resource box” leading them to your web site.

Providing valuable content to help your readers answer their questions, or solve the problem is your primary purpose in article writing. By doing so you will establish yourself as a “go-to” resource in your target market, that your targeted leads will want to hear from, so they will be willing to give you their contact information, if you ask them in an appropriate manner.

Traffic Generation - Planning to get Web Site Traffic - Part VII

Are you making the classic mistake that so many online businesses make with their websites?

Whether you are a newbie or a veteran marketer, you have asked yourself - “How can I get more web site traffic” many times, right? Let me remind you about your 3 main challenges in your online business again

  • How to make money online
  • How to build a list
  • How to get traffic

Getting more web site traffic is only effective once you determine, what will you do with it?

Getting more sales is the real goal, not just more traffic to your web site.

Go ahead and do this test - Google “web site traffic”, and look at the first 10 search results, and see if you can tell yourself what they are asking you to do.

Each of those sites did something to get you there, so do they care who you are or not? What are they doing to find out who you are, can you tell?

Now go take a look at your own website, and ask yourself this question.

How are you planning to convert more of your unique visitors into profitable sales?

Stop wasting your time and money bringing visitors to your site, and trying to convince them how great your company is, or how many products you have, or whatever you think is important. They simply don’t care about you or your company yet anyway.

They want information to help them to either satisfy their desire for something, or to get help to avoid something.

Learn to sell them on giving you their name and email address. PERIOD!

You already know over 90% of website visitors do not buy on their first visit, so why are you still trying to sell your widget on the first visit, and ignoring the potential of the 90% who did not buy on their first visit.

Do a quick search engine ranking test : Google “profits online” and you will find my site in position 5…not too bad for writing and submitting a few articles over the past  few  months…also notice an article of mine in position 6…as of today….now do the same thing on your primary keyword phrase.

For some reason though, the demand for “profits online” [12] is not as important as “money online”[78]….I wonder why that is ?

How to Boost Profits Online Without Increased Web Site Traffic

Yes everybody wants more website traffic, me too, but what is happening with the web site traffic you are already getting.The most common answer I hear, is you not getting enough sales from the website traffic you are already struggling to get.

So, I say again what’s happening with the traffic you are already getting, and most marketers are stuck for a real answer at this point.

Ok, here is some help then:

Are you tracking your website traffic conversion rates through these steps in your sales funnel? If you are not - start today!!

  1. Unique Visitors each website traffic source
  2. Conversion to Subscribers
  3. Total Subscribers
  4. Follow-up Emails Opened
  5. Follow-up Emails Clicked Thru
  6. Conversion of Subscribers to First Sale
  7. Total 1st Buyers
  8. Conversion of 1st Buyer to Priority Buyer
  9. Total Priority Buyers
  10. Total Revenue

You need to test every conversion step, and by split testing ads, titles, subject lines, and every variable you can you can make incremental improvements to your conversion rates that will have an exponential impact on your revenue.

Example:

Case 1:

  • 1000 visitors opt-in at 0.1 = 100 subs
  • 100 subs at 0.1 = 10 initial sales @ $10
  • 10 initial buyers buy again at 0.3 = 3 priority buyers @ $100
  • Total Revenue = $400

Case 2:

  • 1000 visitors opt-in at 0.3 = 300 subs
  • 100 subs at 0.1 = 30 initial sales @ $10
  • 10 initial buyers buy again at 0.3 = 9 priority buyers @ $100
  • Total Revenue = $1200

By improving an existing traffic source’s conversion rate from 1-0 - 30% or finding a different source that converts at 30% you have improved your profits online from $400 to $1200, an increase of $800 revenue.

My personal experience from well written articles and article marketing strategy is a conversion to subscriber rate of 30-40% routinely.
