OVER 2.5 YEARS AGO:

I recently discovered an article written by Steve Pavlina over 2.5 years ago, thats an eternity in the internet world, talking about how to build a high-traffic website or blog that starts with the following quote…..

“Since posting my 2005 traffic figures recently, I’ve received many questions about how I was able to start this web site from scratch and build its traffic to over 700,000 visitors per month (Jan 2006 projection) in about 15 months — without spending any money on marketing or promotion.  Building a high-traffic web site was my intention from the very beginning, so I don’t think this result was accidental. My traffic-building strategy isn’t based on tricks or techniques that will go out of style.”  …..Steve Pavlina, Jan 24, 2006

He went on to outline ten (10) suggestions for building a high-traffic website

- Create valuable, original, timeless content (3)

- Treat visitors like humans, write for them, be your real self, help people first (4)

- Know your [WHY], what your truth is, and live with consequences (2)

- Keep money in proper place (1)

To summarize, I believe he said: Be true to yourself, provide real value, help others through your writings, and by understanding your own uniquenes, the rest will follow.

They each have their own marketing strategy, and distinctive price points, $397, and $37 respectively, and both are selling extremely well according to the buzz online…

I remembered, we can all benefit from studying and applying what other successful people teach, but we must not lose sight of our own very real [WHY]….

Do you remember what your [WHY] is?

Read the rest of Steve’s article and maybe you will realize [WHY] that  [WHY] is so critical to your own personal development and success…….
