Leo Hanes is full time internet marketer, recently writing and publishing over 120 articles and four Ebooks focused primarily on the three core principles of creating profits online - traffic building, list building, and sales copy writing.
- He is a pretty basic and straight forward individual
- He work’s hard and wants the best for his online business, his family and himself.
Like most people he is very concerned with the seemingly ever increasing costs of online advertising and he is always looking for ways to deal with them in the most effective ways possible.
He “retired” early from his career after 35 years in the telecommunications industry as a Telecom Director in 2002, to travel and live in his motorhome as a fulltime RVer.
He found himself in a situation that he had to buy his own healthcare insurance and dental plans at a greatly increased personal expense.
During his career, he learned much from the “de-regulation” of the telecommunications industry, particularly how it was “supposed” to reduce costs for the end-user or consumer.
Specifically he learned that “unbundling” product offerings into services that was actually needed always proved to be more cost effective, than accepting what the industry experts had packaged together to market to us.
With this in mind he has spent since 2002 researching the internet marketing industry, findiing solutions that benefit new internet and network marketers most of all.
He has learned that using traditional professionals (gurus) as a source of information and resources is not always the best resource or solution and that in fact we often become overly dependent upon them, rather than doing our own research.
It is clear however that we must stay informed , up to date , and prepared to deal with these matters ourselves.

I was going along just fine with my life here in the Netherlands until: Wednesday Dec 20, 2007
I went to my Family Doctor re: sinus congestion, infection, with some bloody cough and spit up, symptoms similar to the nose cauterization I had in 1996 due to recurring sinus infections, and nose bleeds Nasal spray prescribed, which may have accelerated bleeding, stopped taking the next day….
Friday Dec 22, 2007
Went to after hours family doctor facility (doctors post) at 9pm due to increased bleeding, and coughing up of blood Referred to local emergency at hospital, as unable to determine if source of bleeding was from nasal cavity, or elsewhere Blood test, and chest x-ray completed, no conclusion other than to make a follow-up appointment with the resident lung specialist.Home by midnight….bleeding had subsided by then
Monday Dec 24, 2007
Made appointment with lung specialist for Thursday Dec 27.

Met Dr Kessels, had saw something on x-ray of concern, he scheduled a CT scan that afternoon, and prescribed an antibiotic that was helpful to the sinus, and bleeding symptoms, also set a follow-up appointment for today Jan 2. Wednesday Jan 2, 2008 Dr Kessels appointment today revealed a spot on my right lung that is of concern. The bleeding symptoms have subsided, except for a minute spotting in my sinus mucus yesterday, and today An appointment has been scheduled for tomorrow Jan 3 at 230 pm NL (830AM EST) for a bronchoscopy, to biopsy the lung spot. This biopsy is to determine whether spot is in fact benign or may be malignant cancer cells.A further test - PET scan - was scheduled for Friday, 0900This test is used to determine if any malignant cancer cells have spread, and determine what stage it may have progressed to. This will then determine what any treatment steps will be.

A follow-up appointment at 1200 with an oncologist Dr Van de Lichte was scheduled to review the diagnostic results, and determine a course of treatment
I am confident with Dr Kessels and his forthright manner in communicating with me so far, that in itself is a relief…..
Met with Dr Van der Lichte who described tumor in upper right lung, and lymph nodes in chest between lungs, but not in other lung or any other organs.
- Diagnosis is stage 3b non small cell lung cancer…
Life as I knew it was now changed forever… I am now focusing on recovery, and attempting to document my story and personal experiences all about lung cancer.
